That makes some sense, especially given that the concern for recipients is
the size of the overall mail, not the size of the diff specifically (it just
happens that the diff is the element whose size varies the most).
In any case, we don't have to make this decision now. I just wanted to make
sure that our tools gave us all the options we might need.
