We need to decide what to do with GNUMP3d.
Do we want to resurrect it, or bury it?

could supersede it, and report?  In particular, is there any that is
packaged for Debian, or could be packaged for Debian without any
great obstacle?

Yeah, I found one, "mpd", actively maintained and packaged for Debian.

We should do that with each GNU package that seems to be dead.
