Hi Rolf,
I should read the Readme text more carefully in the linux environment...
:)
It was the missing libusb-dev! An easy case for you.
I also followed the installation order on a 2nd computer and it worked
immediately.
Thanks again for your support!

Hi Thomas,
have you installed libusb-dev with your packet manager before
configure?
On the other hand you can try to use my ppa:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rolfbensch/sane-git
Cheers,
Rolf

Hi Rolf,
unfortunately the scanner still doesn't work.
I downloaded to some folder the 1.0.25git (backend and frontend),
installed it like described (at least I tried it), restarted my
printer
and computer but simplescan still can't find the scanner...
Maybe it's something with the USB port? But the printer function works
fine.

Hi Thomas,
For your scanner you need to install Sane's development version
1.0.25git.
Please follow the installation description from README.linux:
http://www.sane-project.org/docs.html.

Hi,
can someone help me with my new Canon Pixma MX925?
I installed Xubuntu last week and just bought the new
printer/scanner.
The printer works fine with the Canon Drivers I downloaded from the
Canon homepage.
But the scanner is still not working. It's connected via USB. I
tried
"simple-scan" and added the user to the group "scanner" but that was
obviously not enough.
Do you have some hints?
And can I help somehow regarding "testing"? But as you see I'm a
100%
green horn.
Thanks!
