ppa:nathan-renniewaldock/sane I added this to my repository list and updated. I now see: > dhdurgee at DHD-Z560 ~/Downloads $ scanimage -V > scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.23; backend version 1.0.23 > dhdurgee at DHD-Z560 ~/Downloads $ sudo sane-find-scanner > > # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. I was also able to use simple-scan 2.32.0.1 to scan a document, confirming basic function of the unit. As this scanner is noted as "testers needed", is there anything I can provide you at this point with the 1.0.23 release? If I need to install 1.0.24 from git to be of real assistance I will do so, but I will need someone to outline all the steps to get this working properly on my system. I am running linux mint 11 Katya x64 on the system I am currently using to test this, which is based on ubuntu 11.04 natty. I have another system running linux mint 13 Maya x64 which is based on ubuntu 12.04 precise which I could also use and might do so in the future after further testing. Dave
