While searching for testers of the latest Pixma backend patch [1], it occurred to me how hard it is to find somebody who can make sure that some changes don't introduce a regression.
So what about adding a testers.txt file, where interested parties could add their email addresses? Those could be then used by developers as contacts to have a confirmation that their latest changes don't break or really do enable a new feature. That could also be implemented as a wiki, where people can leave their contact address and the HW they're willing to test for. Having it as a file within the repo would require the developers to take care of it. Alternatively there doesn't seem to be a 'sane' wiki, however if one would get created it'd need some links from the http://www.sane-project.org/ , pages optimally maybe from http://www.sane-project.org/contrib.html. What do you think? *t [1] See thread "Re: Anybody with access to Pixma MP160 or MP780? [was: Re: Pixma MP600 broken by 1430217e1919801fa6418c36589cc4360e5f1779]"
