        Hello,

        could you try the same test but with scanimage -L , with sane usb debug 
enabled by running :
SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_USB=7 scanimage -L 2>probe.log

        And send debug logs (once compressed) either to the mailing list or 
directly 
to me if it's too big.
        
        You may also try another USB cable or plug it in another port if 
possible.
