Hello, Can you please take me off your distribution list manually? I get about 30 of these per day. The unsubscribe option below does not seem to be working fully. Regards John

I own a ScanJet 8250 and encountered this problem recently. It appeared to be related to one of the detectors not working properly. When I followed the advice in: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c0015 8021 the problem was resolved. There is another annoying problem with the Avision backend (I think but am not sure) that remains: it will not allow to use the duplex facility of the ScanJet 8250. When you put the switch on the scanner to duplex scanning, it will continue to scan only one side. It works perfectly well when using the HP software under Windows though... This problem has been reported before, see: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/sane-devel/2008-November/023196.htm l Regards, Paul. -- sane-devel mailing list: sane-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/sane-devel Unsubscribe: Send mail with subject "unsubscribe your_password" to sane-devel-request at lists.alioth.debian.org
