sane-backends is now in feature freeze. This means that no new
backends or new features for existing backends should be added. Bugs
and documentation may still be fixed. Now would be a good time to go
thru all the bugs in the tracker, and close any that have been fixed.
It would also be helpful if folks could attempt to build the current
sources on any uncommon platforms they have access to, so we can shake
out any build system or compiler issues.

Code freeze begins in one week, at which time, only documentation
changes will be accepted.
