Hello, Everyone :) I am running Fedora Core 2. After trying all of the (similar) installation instructions that I found in various places, I still get the following when I run /sbin/modprobe scanner vendor=0x04b8 product0x011b
FATAL: Module scanner not found. I have the following in /etc/modprobe.conf: options scanner vendor=0x04b8 product=0x011b The following is located in my EHCI host controller: EPSON Scanner Manufacturer: EPSON Class 255 (Vendor Specific Class) Subclass 0 Protocol 0 USB Version 2.0 Vendor ID 0x4b8 (Seiko Epson Corp.) Product ID 0x11b (Perfection 2400 Photo) Revision 1.0 Speed 480 Mbit/s Channels 0 Max. Packet Size 0 I have edited /etc/sane.d/dll.conf apppropriately, as well as /etc/sane.d/epson.conf scanimage -L says that no scanners were found, but sane-find-scanner says: ound USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x011b [EPSON Scanner]) at libusb:001:004 If anyone has any ideas, or no-brainer instructions, let me know :) Steven P.
