I was just curious as to whether or not someone is working on the hp 3970 backend. If not, I wanted to begin writing it. There was one post a few months ago about this same backend, but I've confirmed that that person is not working on it. I have programing experience, but this will be my first linux driver. I'm reading the Linux USB programming guide and the SANE documentation. Any tips or advice before I get started?
