Does scanimage -L work? Probably not, but you never know. Can you give some more details about your operating system, version, and platform? Which version of SANE do you use? > here are some outputs of system files: > > cat /proc/scsi/scsi > Attached devices: > Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00 > Vendor: MUSTEK Model: MSF-06000CZ Rev: 4.00 > Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: ffffffff I have a CX type, but that shouldn't matter: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 03 Lun: 00 Vendor: MUSTEK Model: MFS-06000CX Rev: 4.04 Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: ffffffff > sym53c8xx: 53c875 detected I'm using (but that shouldn't matter either): scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.1 <Adaptec 2940 SCSI adapter> aic7870: Single Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs This is Linux 2.4.13 i386 with the latest SANE CVS: [sane-find-scanner] > [sanei_scsi] sanei_scsi_req_wait: SCSI command complained: Success > [sanei_scsi] sense buffer: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 > [sanei_scsi] target status: 7f host status: 0007 driver status: 0027 I don't know what this means and I don't get this output. On my system: no problem. Abel, any idea? Bye, Henning
