Here are some very good news for owner's of EPSON scanners. EPSON KOWA has released a frontend for EPSON scanners. They also enhanced the backend which is also distributed in the package.=20 Their goal was to make scanning as easy as with the Windows or Mac drivers and to provide the same image quality.
