Hi Chris, did you have a look at http://www.kirchgessner.net/sanehpfaq.html ? There are some hints for use of HP-scanners. Unfortunately your Symbios Logic SCSI card seems to be not easy to operate. You can browse through the sane-devel mailing list for additional hints. But several people gave up using this card.
