Are your external IP checks dependent on any other check? If so, you could place the parent on maintenance (manually or via a schedule), and the dependent items won’t be monitored.
If those external IP checks are not dependent, could they be? It would take front-end work to get it set up, but this weekend, and in the future, you would easily be able to exclude these checks from monitoring with a few simple clicks.
