If you are running Servers Alive, SMTP2POP3 (COM version), and McAfee VirusScan
with Access Protection (v8.0.0 or higher), you need to add the following to the
exception list if you are blocking outbound SMTP on your Servers Alive server:

serversalive.ex
comsaw~1.exe

To do this, right click on your systray icon and choose VirusScan Console
Double click Access Protection
Choose Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail and click Edit
Add the processes listed above to the end of the Excluded Processes list,
separating each process with a comma
Click OK twice and close VirusScan console

Notes: serversalive.ex is correct, and not a typo. Make sure to add both
processes to the exclusion list. comsaw~1.exe is comsawrapper.exe, but
excluding comsawrapper.exe doesn't work. I noticed both processes listed in
the AccessProtection log, although both processes were not blocked every time.

Thanks,

If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), then make sure
that they are not send to the list nor to the individual members of the list
that send a message. Doing this will get you removed from the list.
