Is there any interest to getting the URL check extend with a CONTENT-TYPE check?
That way you could check that what is returned by the webserver is of the
correct type (image/gif or image/jpeg or text/html or ...)

(ofcourse using the normal URL checking feature too, like HTTP and HTTPS, with
or without authentication, with or without the usage of a proxy)

If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), then make sure
that they are not send to the list nor to the individual members of the list
that send a message. Doing this will get you removed from the list.
