Hello I am trying to implement an SQL check in Servers alive that will monitor a result set… I am wondering if somehow using external com checks or DB checks if its possible to have servers alive monitor if the following line of SQL: select * from sys.dm_tran_locks where request_type='LOCK' and request_status<>'GRANT' Returns say more then 5 rows of data… is this possible? I imagine for the guru’s it is. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Cordially, Ronald A.
