I guess you mean hardy heron, ubuntu 8.04, 64bit?

Others are much better than I at deciphering the problem, but it vaguely
looks like you have a problem with the GAP install. Could you please
try

./sage -gp

and then quit SAGE, then try

./sage -gap

please?
