Thanx for your help! I was able to solve 16*x^1.9==100 for 18 complex roots and 1 real root in a reasonable amount of time: http://sagecell.sagemath.org/?z=eJzLsS3OzylL1TA006qIM9SztLU1NDDQqdDk5SrOyC_XyEnN08jRhPOiIXxdw1i9ooxiDU29PA1NTQCeixNX&lang=sage
I had to go to the cloud server to solve 16.0*x^1.99 getting 196 complex roots and 1 real! Thanx, A.
