Hi Amelia,

Here is what I need/want. I want a system where writing my own

Not to sound like an evangelist, but the (the
webwork project) have been working on sage integration
and on making problem authoring easier. It also integrates with moodle. So,
you can have webwork, sage and moodle.

John Travis has very nice webwork problems that integrate sage interacts
that he has been using with
his students.

Davide Cervone has done a lot of work to make problem authoring both more
powerful (MathObjects) and
easier PGML. PGML is inspired by Markdown, and there are examples of its
use here:

https://courses.webwork.maa.org/webwork2/cervone_course/PGML-examples/?login_practice_user=true

But, if you don't like webwork there are other open source online homework
systems. MathIAS is one:

http://www.imathas.com/

I don't know how easy it is to author problems in MathIAS, or if it
integrates with Moodle. AFIK, it doesn't integrate with sage, but
that shouldn't be any harder to do with MathIAS than it is with webwork
using the single cell server.

HTH,
Jason

There are programs that satisfy both my criteria (relatively easy to
