Over here in Australia, when I was going through high school, I
considered a lot of the maths to be repetition from the previous year,
especially with respect to algebra. It's only during the last two
years of high school that one would learn about calculus. And even
during those two years, it's very likely that one would also be
repeating some algebra stuff from previous years. The best way to
learn maths in Aussie is independent study with a private tutor. It
also helps if your parents know maths at the university level.
