Regexps as used from R aren't bad, either... ;-).

Done. That builds without a hitch. make ptestlong underway (it will be a 
while : make started by recompiling both pythons. I think that this will 
recompile almost anything...)

Or *really* learn m4... which is a bit orthogonal to my initial 
preoccupations (evidence-based medicine and dentistry).
