Obviously yes. You cannot compile C code without a working toolchain
(this includes a compiler, assembler, linker, header files, libraries).
Then why gcc is shipped within the dmg? Having a non-working version of
Cython is more of a handicap than anything else.
I did not find anywhere where it is documented...
Well, Sage does not document either that it needs electrical power to run.
