I think this thread would be boring for sage-flame too. If you are unwilling to contribute to SAGE software because someone/anyone could sell it, then I think you are misunderstanding the GPL..
I have repeatedly suggested to students who wanted to "commercialize" software that was essentially a system to "do math", that they would be better off doing something else. For example, writing software for dental hygienists.
