cp -p tries to preserve ACL's. It gives warning, not error, when it can't.
So, it seems that ACL's are not problem. However, debugging stops quite
early:
$ ./sage -i ntl
Package ntl-6.1.0.p0 is already installed.
Use 'sage -f /home/jm58660/sage-6.3/upstream/ntl-6.1.0.tar.bz2' to force a
reinstallation.
$ ./sage -f /home/jm58660/sage-6.3/upstream/ntl-6.1.0.tar.bz2
. . .
/home/jm58660/sage-6.3/src/bin/sage-spkg: line 601: cd: ntl-6.1.0.tar.bz2: No
such file or directory
So sorry, no helps.
