Since building everything except ATLAS takes less than an hour on a

Less than an hour for everything except ATLAS!?
Just to clarify -- I mean wall time.
I was also talking wall time...
For example, on
https://cloud.sagemath.com, doing this with a fresh sage-5.10.rc0
tarball:
export MAKE="make -j8"; make
takes about 25 minutes, because SAGE_ATLAS_LIB is set in the global
environment by default.
Well, not everyone has a big & recent server.
Is even sage.math.washington.edu that fast?
I don't know. Disk io is a relevant factor, so building in /tmp can help a lot.
I'll definitely have to try next time!
Also, did you guys all know that I bought sage.math.washington.edu in 2008!? :-)
We have a saying in France about a knife and a wound...
Snark on #sagemath
