Just to clarify -- I mean wall time. For example, on https://cloud.sagemath.com, doing this with a fresh sage-5.10.rc0 tarball: export MAKE="make -j8"; make takes about 25 minutes, because SAGE_ATLAS_LIB is set in the global environment by default. > Is even sage.math.washington.edu that fast? I don't know. Disk io is a relevant factor, so building in /tmp can help a lot. Also, did you guys all know that I bought sage.math.washington.edu in 2008!? :-) William > > Snark on #sagemath > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "sage-devel" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to sage-devel+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > To post to this group, send email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com. > Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel?hl=en. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > > -- William Stein Professor of Mathematics University of Washington http://wstein.org -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-devel" group.
