Just the other day I had someone ask how to properly preserve Sage
code used in a thesis. I suggested attaching the file in the tex so
that it would be embedded in the pdf on arxiv.org <http://arxiv.org>.
Here's a recent one that I know of that does this:

glad to know if there are better ways of doing this, than what is done
here.
I couldn't figure out how to get the attached file from that pdf.
