Well, I was trying to patch something in the matrix code (I haven't succeeded :( ). I have also been slowly cleaning up some whitespaces in the graphics code (around +/- 10 lines of my patch), so you will find much less of them now in sage/plot/{plot,graphics}.py.

Anyway, the point is that clearing up 10 characters of whitespace (quite common) or 100 characters takes the same amount of effort. But, we do want our code to look "good" and be less frustrating to hack around, don't we?
