As a result of the semester program at ICERM on arithmetic dynamics we've started to put together a sage package for dynamical systems on affine and projective spaces. I'd like to start the process of moving that directly into sage through a series of patches. I've gone ahead and prepared a patch with the first set of changes that sets up the basic architecture changes that are needed. There are two main ones and a variety of small related changes:
1) allow projective spaces over rings 2) allow rational maps on projective space (ie. allow maps with indeterminacies) The latter reverses part of http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/3964 What is the right way to go about this (for this patch and in general)? Should I post the patch to this list for a discussion or should I just open a trac ticket- enhancement?
