I scratched this out of the source code for the Domainsbyproxy footer; Copyright (c) 2002 - 2012 Go Daddy Operating Company, LLC U.S. Pat No. 7,130,878 which leads me to this: http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=/netahtml/PTO/search-adv.htm&r=15&f=G&l=50&d=PTXT&S1=7,130,878&OS=7,130,878&RS=7,130,878 and we see that the real culprit is Go Daddy squatting on the names they in fact auction off. They actually did this to me on a domain name that I failed to keep registered. Then offered to sell it back to me via one of their proxy companies. As I really did not care, I forgot about it until I read this post. I can tell you for certain that other "registration" companies do this also, in fact I assume its common practice. Only sure way to protect a name is to file a copyright on it just as corporations/companies do. If you actually "own" it they can not resell it...LOL -- To post to this group, send an email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to sage-devel+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URL: http://www.sagemath.org
