The IRC channel grew a bit when I made a fuss about it on sage-devel some months ago, and bugged a freenode operator to redirect #sage-devel (which we had lost administrative control over) to #sagemath. Since then, it hasn't changed much. Pretty much the same faces as a couple months ago. There were a few more users during sd31 when I was promoting it in person, but it seems during sd32 nobody was using IRC (even #sagemath-days, which I set up as a coordination point for sage dayses)... is it time for another bout of proselytizing? Feel up to it? :P
