As soon as there is some sort consensus I will change it.
Below is the list of current possibilities.

N/A
Not yet reported upstream; Will do shortly.
Reported upstream. Little or no feedback.
Reported upstream. Developers acknowledge bug.
Reported upstream. Developers deny it's a bug.
Fixed upstream, in a later stable release.
Fixed upstream, but not in a stable release.
Workaround found; Bug reported upstream.
Completely fixed; Fix reported upstream.
None of the above - read trac for reasoning.

Personally I think all except the "Reported upstream. Little or no
feedback" above options are clear and have a valid use case. The only thing
I'm missing (and already missed in the past) was a status wich you give the
ticket shortly after you posted the bug. Althoug the status: "Reported
upstream. Little or no feedback." is technically speaking true in this
situation it has a very heavy undertone saying "they are ignoring our bug
report". Just look how unpolite the just 24 hours ago opened
ticket http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/11664 is for the singular
people.

So I have two proposals:

1. change: "Reported upstream. Little or no feedback." to "Reported
upstream. Waiting for reply"

2. Add a new option: "Reported upstream. Waiting for reply"

I'm slightly in favour for option 1. Because we already have quite a large
list of options. And we could also use the "Reported upstream. Waiting for
reply" status for cases where they didn't reply after a long time. And since
you can also see on a ticket when it was reported upstream you can always
conclude for yourself if they didn't reply for a long time. Also since the
changing of the status from "Waiting for reply" to "Little of no feedback"
is a manual thing which I guess will often be forgotten I think it's better
not to have the status "Reported upstream. Little or no feedback."

ps. My proposal is basically the same of that of leif, but I like my naming
better for some reason. Because "waiting" is a state in which you can be and
"no response yet" is not.
