Maybe this belongs on sage-notebook, but I wonder if OpenID
authentication is where we want it to be.

I've been viewing a lot of worksheets at flask.sagenb.org and setup my
account there using Google as the OpenID provider. So now, when I
want to login, I just click on the Google button and I'm in (I think
because I'm logged into Google anyway to post to groups). It's very,
very nice. Little to no problems.

However my user name for this notebook account is openidXXXXXXXXXX,
where the 10 X's are some sort of hash or token (I presume).

(a) Is this hash something you want the world to see? (I have only a
partial understanding of OpenID.) You can see my general level of
paranoia means I won't publish it here.

(b) Do I want to collect 30 worksheets from students and then import
them into my notebook where every user has a name that is a hash? (I
have enough experience to have a complete understanding of my answer
to this question.)

Again, its a great feature, but I wonder if it is being employed
properly and if we'd do better with some sort of user manager to hide
it a bit better.

The Google/Yahoo/Blogger buttons are going to be irresistible...
