I really don't have a strong opinion about the subject of this thread.
Regardless of what policy is adopted, I urge spkg maintainers to
carefully document each patch in the file SPKG.txt. What I'm looking
for is documentation on each patch, and as verbose and as much
documentation as possible (but you don't need to write an essay for
each patch :-). If we adopt a policy, this needs to be documented in
the Developer's Guide.
