Yes, I think they would be useful. Periods of concentrated effort at fixing bugs is a standard practice in professional software engineering.

In a similar way I feel "bug fix only releases" would be useful, where one concentrates on removing bugs, and not adding features. That idea has however been very much disliked by many people.

Given the lack of enthusiasm by many (including William) for my suggestions of "bug-fix-only" releases, it will be interesting to see how many take William up on attending the "Bug Days".
