Ok, since it seems that numpy-1.4.1 and scipy-0.8. work now, we would
need testing.
Both packages can be downloaded under
http://code.google.com/p/spkg-upload/downloads/detail?name=numpy-1.4.1.spkg
http://code.google.com/p/spkg-upload/downloads/detail?name=scipy-0.8.spkg

It would be very nice if some people with OSX and Solaris would test
these versions since we are not sure
if the current installer works correctly for these. As mentioned in
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/9808#comment:33
we tested it for Ubuntu 10.04 and sage-in-gentoo and it worked.

And another question is: is it possible to merge this into sage-4.3.?

It is true that numpy 1.5.0 is out already, but it has still probs.
But it seems that they have resolved it now, and it will merged into
1.5.1.
So I suggest the following: We stick with 1.4.1 for now because it
holds some major changes, and is necessary for scipy 0.8. and much
better tested.
And scipy 0.8. hold much important changs
But I will keep an eye on further developments, and if It is possible
to install numpy-1.5.1 without any trouble then we should aim to merge
it into sage-5.0. (or even 4.6)

or at least so I would do it.
