I reported yesterfay that only 19 of the 98 or so standard packages have an spkg-check file, making it possible to test the packages as Sage is built. None of the list below have any way of running self-tests on the packages, though in many cases the upstream packages have no test suites.
I've just added one to 'boehm_gc' but what what of the following would be most useful to add self-tests to? I can't be bothered to do them all, but I don't mind doing a few now and then. I would have thought python was pretty critical, but I can'f find a way of testing python. Although python is built with the usual configure make make install there is no 'make check'. Does anyone know how to test python properly? I know Sage does a couple of rudementary checks, like importing _hashlib and getting python to print "Sage works" at one point, but that is hardly very extensive. Anyway, what of the following would be considered worth doing first, given I don't have the time or inclination to do them all?
