I sent this a few days ago but it got confused, so I'm sending it again:
The thing that I remember was that large pieces of the C-interface have changed. Names changed, arguments changed, pieces removed... and the pari changelog was a little hit or miss on what changed. So I had to recompile, re-run, and find another symbol error to figure out what changed. I eventually used nm and got a little more systematic, but it was dozens (hundreds?) of small incompatibilities.
