* About Sage (http://www.sagemath.org)
Sage is developed by volunteers and combines over 90 open source packages.
It is available for download from www.sagemath.org and its mirrors in
source or binary form. If you have any questions and/or problems,
please report them to the Google groups sage-devel or sage-support.
You can also drop by in #sage-devel on freenode.

On Fedora 12 x86_64 I had build failures with gd and atlas.
The gd issue could be resolved by putting /usr/include/iconv.h and
/usr/bin/iconv aside.
FYI: This gd issue also happens on eno, which is the main build
machine on Skynet (our build farm), which is a Fedora 12 machine.
This is probably the first release of Sage ever that doesn't work on
eno. Oops.
I first warned on sage-4.3.4.alpha1 I had this gd issue. I had no time
to investigate. I should have opened a blocker ticket.
I'm not sure how we managed to do a release without testing that it
even works on eno (skynet). Hmm.
:-(
I like all the talk about checklists on sage-devel recently:
checklists are good, and would prevent this sort of thing.
+1
I think the Fedora 12 distro is somehow broken. Not only Fedora, but
other distros failed as well.
But this would have been shown in an adequate test.
