When you say you've been running happily on Gentoo, do you mean that you have been happily building Sage from source on Gentoo? And if so, 32 or 64-bit? > What needs to be > done to make it so Gentoo is supported? 32 and 64-bit virtualbox virtual machines have to be setup and configured to build Sage and added to our build farm. Then people have to fix bugs in the build system as they arise. I personally have tried to install Gentoo a maybe 4 times into virtual machines while setting up a bunch of Linux installs -- the complexity of installing Gentoo is about a million times higher than installing any other mainstream Linux distribution, so I ran out of patience. So somebody else has to do it, and so far nobody has. -- William --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send an email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to sage-devel-unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URL: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
