This works great for me and completes the full 'sage -upgrade' cycle
with no errors.

But I got a gcc "Internal Error" when trying to install clisp. Could
you confirm this? I have an apparently similar problem when trying to
install the new FriCAS spkg that is supposed to build with ecl, so I
thought I would revert to the older FriCAS spkg that relies on clisp.
Unfortunately I ended up dry here too.

Do you see any easy way to upgrade the version of gcc in this linux
distribution?
