Thanks! From the log it seems to me that maxima does mostly
better now than what it did earlier.

As you said the spkg's are fine. We just need to patch the doctest failures.
It seems around 14 files need fixes. I would suggest we post
several different patches fixing different files. Then different
people can work independently.

If its OK with you then I can take three files "calculus/calculus.py",
"calculus/functional.py" and "symbolic/expression.py" for fixing
as I am working with them currently. I can then attach the patch
for these to your ticket.

For the cases where fixing seems non-trivial, we can discuss
here how to deal with them.

BTW, it would be good if you could update them to the latest
upstream version so that no more changes would be needed
for now.
