I was kind of expecting you to say, "I don't know where the blogger
got that idea,
but it wasn't from Sage."

It seems, though, you are confirming it!

So, without mentioning any specifics, could you perhaps estimate how
many instances there are of people in the symbolic
math software community, people using software under BSD, who  feel
burned?  Like how many
 are you personally aware of?  I am aware of none (zero).

There may be people who think that their elliptic curve program, which
they gave away, is making someone (else) rich.
But let's be serious. Outside of people selling systems like
Mathematica and Maple [or even including them!] is anyone
getting rich?

It doesn't even make sense to me why anyone should complain to you
about
BSD software re-use, so I would consider this (don't understand)^2.
