Hi folks,

Now that all binaries are in place and the standard documentation is
up, I thought it's a good time to post the release note here and give
a link to the release tour. Note that sage-announce is the appropriate
place to do this, but only the sage-announce group admin can do that.
So here goes. A nicely formatted release tour can be found at

http://mvngu.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/sage-4-0-1-released/

The release note follows:

Sage 4.0.1 was released on June 06th, 2009. It is available at

           http://www.sagemath.org/download.html

* About Sage (http://www.sagemath.org)

Sage is developed by volunteers and combines 83 open source packages.
It is available for download from www.sagemath.org and its mirrors in
source or binary form. If you have any questions and/or problems,
please report them to the Google groups sage-devel or sage-support.
You can also drop by in #sage-devel or #sage-support in freenode.
