I looked at lrcalc a while ago and it isn't too bad. There are some
obvious things to fix in the build system ["-O6" - Really? This
reminds me a lot of "it goes to 11" ;)] for example as well as
changing the code that just plainly exits in case of allocation
failure. Also: turning the code into a library is almost trivial.

Well, if it hadn't been fixed this week Symmetrica would have been
thrown out of Sage very quickly :)
