Yes, that is the point for me; to make the barrier of entry low or non-existent. In other words, a new user should be able to quickly and easily create a nice-looking worksheet without having to learn both Sage and ReST, especially since learning ReST is not a mathematical activity. I'm not saying that they shouldn't learn ReST eventually, but I think that learning Sage will be enough of a learning curve that we shouldn't insist that they learn yet another language in order to be able to write text in their worksheet. FYI, the spkg is around 500k, and installed, it is about 2.4M.
