We have been told by various people that the startup time of Sage on
OSX 10.4 is much better when build locally since then the linker does
not end up looking for libraries in a lot of places because the
location of the Sage install moved.

The above is only the doctests for DSage  and there should have been
another 900+ tests run.

In general it seems that OSX 10.4 is sufficiently different in its
behavior than 10.5. Thus a bunch of upgrade issues exist that do not
happen on OSX 10.5. I am setting up a laptop with 10.4 so that I can
chase down those issues.
