As mentioned before, the "sage -upgrade" from sage 3.0.5 did not work for me, but a fresh compilation of the sage-3.1.1.tar into a new directory worked fine on my PowerBook Pro 2.4 GHz with os 10.4.11. I am trying it out right now and my notebooks seem to work faster than with the previous version (sage 3.0.5.).
"sage -testall" gave: Ran 52 tests in 8.711s PASSED (successes=52) Thanks for a great software!
