I'm telling google and yahoo about important sites using the sitemap protocol: http://sagemath.org/sitemap.xml (update frequency, priority) > > dmoz > Worth persisting with I think. me too > > > one last note: there is adwords ... > I don't know how it works - but I know I'm not keen on seeing ads on > sites myself! me either, but what i mean is to promote sage on google.com (the right column of sponsored links). from my last analysis, the market for the keyword "mathematica" is too expensive, so i'll first have to find good keywords. for that, i've downloaded all the google query stats for sagemath.org (this is a list of all queries in the last month, where sage has shown up somewhere down the results and a list for all clicked results and their position). then i can try to state this a minimax problem like: "what's the cheapest set of keywords that indicate the most promising display of an ad for sage". I'll try this in september and report how it worked. If someone want's to play with the data, ask me ;) harald --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
